在delphi7的dbexpress控件面板中想要用TSQLConnection连接firebird数据库。但在delphi7的dbexpress控件中只提供了与Interbase数据库连接的驱动，并没有提供有关与firebird连接的驱动。但由于firebird的数据库与Interbase类似。所以我们可以手动修改\\Borland\\Delphi7\\Bin目录下的dbxconnections.ini及dbxdrivers.ini这两个配置文件内容增加连接firebird的驱动程序。

首先在dbxdrivers.ini文件里增加如下内容：

LibraryName=dbexpint.dll

SQLDialect=1  
BlobSize=-1  
CommitRetain=True  
WaitOnLocks=True  
ErrorResourceFile=

Interbase TransIsolation=ReadCommited  
Trim Char=False

\[Firebird TransIsolation\]  
ReadCommited=1  
RepeatableRead=2

接着在dbxconnections.ini文件里增加如下内容：

DriverName=Firebird  
Database=database.fdb    //如有报错，此处根据实际情况填写自己的数据库名  
RoleName=RoleName  
User\_Name=SYSDBA  
Password=masterkey  
ServerCharSet=  
SQLDialect=3  
ErrorResourceFile=  
LocaleCode=0000  
BlobSize=-1  
CommitRetain=False  
WaitOnLocks=True  
Interbase TransIsolation=ReadCommited  
Trim Char=False

在以上配置文件添加完对应的内容后，再打开delphi7的dbexpress控件面板的TSQLConnection 控件，双击打开此时就可以看到刚刚在dbxconnections.ini配置文件里添加的firebird驱动类型的数据库连接名FBConnection，选中OK，即可设置连接到对应的firebird数据库，如下截图所示：![Center][]
