Marvel consists of two components: a Marvel agent that you install on on each node in your cluster, and a Marvel application you install in Kibana.  
marvel包含两个组件：  
一个是marvel agent插件，你需要在集群的所有节点都安装  
一个是marvel应用，你需要在kibana中安装  
The Marvel agent collects and indexes metrics from Elasticsearch and you visualize the data through the Marvel dashboards in Kibana. The agent can index data on the same cluster, or send it to an external monitoring cluster.  
这个Marvel agent从elastics中收集和索引指标信息，并且在kibana中通过Marvel仪表盘对数据进行展示。  
这个Marvel agent可以在同一个集群中索引数据，或者把数据发送的外部的集群中。

Marvel 2.4.3 requires:

Java 7 or later  
Elasticsearch 2.4.3  
Kibana 4.6.1：下载地址：https://www.elastic.co/downloads/past-releases/kibana-4-6-1  
Elasticsearch License 2.4.3 plugin  
A modern web browser - Supported Browsers，需要浏览器支持kibana中的图形，建议IE10以上或者chrom

1：安装license  
bin/plugin install license

2：安装marvel-agent  
bin/plugin install marvel-agent

3：【默认这一步不需要操作，因为默认情况下es并没有禁用自动创建索引库功能】If you have disabled automatic index creation in Elasticsearch, configure action.auto\_create\_index in elasticsearch.yml to allow marvel to create the .marvel-\* indices:  
如果你在es中禁用了自动创建索引库的功能。那么你需要在elasticsearch.yml中配置action.auto\_create\_index 以便允许marvel去创建.marvel-\* 索引库。

action.auto\_create\_index: .marvel-\*

4：启动es  
bin/elasticsearch

5：Install the Marvel app into Kibana by running bin/kibana plugin in your Kibana installation directory. If you need to install Kibana, see Getting Kibana Up and Running.  
在你的kibana安装目录中使用bin/kibana脚本把marvel安装到kibana中。  
如果你还没有安装kibana，请查看kibana的安装步骤：https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/4.6/setup.html

【需要保证已安装kibana】  
在线安装marvel插件命令  
bin/kibana plugin --install elasticsearch/marvel/latest  
离线安装marvel插件命令  
bin/kibana plugin --install marvel --url file:///path/to/file/marvel-2.4.1.tar.gz

6：启动kibana  
bin/kibana  
注意：在kibana中安装marvel 插件之后，如果之前已经启动kibana需要重启kibana。

7：To verify your Marvel installation, point your web browser at http://0.0.0.0:5601/ to open Kibana, click the App Switcher icon in the Kibana menu bar, and select Marvel.  
验证marvel是否安装成功，打开浏览器，输入：http://0.0.0.0:5601/打开kibana，点击kibana中的菜单，选择marvel  
http://0.0.0.0:5601/

marvel需要和kibana一块使用。
