# Word Preparation #

## spices: 香料 ##

(单复数同形) flavoring for food; 形容词是 spicy：辛辣的，香的

Indian food is known for its wide variety of spices.  
印度美食以广泛使用香料而闻名。

Some spices are really expensive because they are difficult to produce.  
有些香料很贵，因为它们很难生产出来。

## flavorful: 美味的 ##

rich in flavor

The spices really make this soup flavorful.

I was disappointed in the dish because it wasn’t that flavorful.

## have a taste for something: 对…有兴趣 ##

to have a desire for a particular food, drink, or experience

I don’t really have a taste for beer.

My mom and dad both have a taste for spicy food.

## ground pork: 碎猪肉; 猪肉馅 ##

pork cut into very small pieces by a meat grinder (绞肉机)  
这里 ground 是动词 grind (v. 磨，碾碎) 的过去分词，修饰 pork。

This soup is made with ground pork and vegetables.  
这个汤是用碎猪肉和蔬菜做成的。

We can either add ground pork or ground beef.

## chili pepper: 辣椒 ##

a spicy vegetable that is usually red, green, orange, or yellow in color.
